This blog is about various adventures in a country in the South Pacific called New Zealand. We have a population of 4 million people. The country is divided into two islands that are imaginatively called the South Island and North Island respectively. The capital city is Wellington which is at the southern tip of the North Island. The largest city is Auckland (one million people) which is at the top of the North Island. The country is very long and thin and therefore has a huge variation in climate from North to South. New Zealand is an outdoor enthusiast's dream. The site will provide accounts of tramps (NZ word for hill walking), mountain bike rides and any other outing deemed worthy of inclusion.
